Universities Finals Today

The National Universities Football league will come to an end today in Monrovia at ATS with two matches. Seven higher learning institutions embarked on a title race nearly two weeks across at two venues, Gbarnga Sport Stadium and ATS. In Bong County, Cuttington University, United Methodist University and William V.S Tubman College from Maryland County settle their group stage matches in Bong County.

Cuttington University and United Methodist University advanced to the next stage of the league. While, University of Liberia, Stella Marie, African Methodist Episcopal University (AMEU) and African Methodist Episcopal Zion dramatized at ATS. Four teams will battle today for three titles; University of Liberia is fixture to face the Camp Johnson boy of African Methodist Episcopal University (AMEU) in the grand final.


United Methodist University is position to meet for former group mate Cuttington University in the third place game. The tournament gathered students from all universities for the first time after ten years; the games were filled of thrills, dramas, elation and sadness after thrashing.

According to the heads of the league, the next inter universities league will welcome addition sports, Basketball, Long Tennis, Track and Field, and Volleyball. Meanwhile, cashes prizes are expected to be pitchout today various awards, Most Valuable Player, Title Winner, Top Scorer and others.
